FATJOE is an outsourced link-building and SEO service that has sold to agencies since 2012: you pick a service and a Domain Rating tier, pay per placement, FATJOE's team does the outreach, and a link or brand mention arrives in about 14 days with a white-label report and a lifetime guarantee. Its newest line, Brand Mentions, sells listicle and review placements on DR 30+ sites for $336 each, aimed at AI visibility. GEOboom is outreach software for the same goal by the opposite route: it pulls the pages your AI-visibility tracker says are already cited, finds the editor, writes and sends from mailboxes it provides, hands you each reply with a drafted answer, and watches the mention afterwards. You close the deal and pay the publisher directly, or through Buy for you.
The short answer: if you want a known number of links or mentions delivered on a schedule, resold under your own brand, with no outreach on your side, FATJOE. If you need to be on the specific pages ChatGPT and Google AI Mode already cite for your prompts, and you want the prospect list and the publisher relationship in your hands, GEOboom. FATJOE's own FAQ says it cannot guarantee specific publications and that Brand Mentions may carry no link or a nofollow one; that is the line between the two products.
Disclosure: this comparison is written by GEOboom's team. We say so wherever it affects a judgement, and we list where FATJOE is the better choice.

Where they differ: the seven steps that produce a link
A done-for-you service hides most of these steps on purpose. That is its value, and also why each one is worth checking before you order.
- Where the pages come from. FATJOE does the outreach for you and places your link or mention on a blog or publication that matches your niche and the DR tier you paid for. Its FAQ is explicit: it cannot guarantee specific publications. For Blogger Outreach the post is new; for Brand Mentions the listicle or review is written by FATJOE. GEOboom starts from the pages that already exist and are already cited: your AI-visibility tracker, the prompts you track, keywords or a list, with newly cited pages added as they appear. To get onto the pages AI already quotes: GEOboom. To get a guaranteed number of new placements at a given DR: FATJOE.

- Whether the list is filtered before you see it. FATJOE qualifies the sites it reaches: DR and Ahrefs traffic are guaranteed per tier, duplicate domains are excluded, and you never see the candidate list. GEOboom reads each page against your brand and topic, sets aside off-topic pages, competitors' own sites, pages that already mention you and link farms, and shows you the rest ordered by how often they are cited. Both filter; only GEOboom shows you the list.
- Which contact it finds. Not visible with FATJOE; its outreach team handles bloggers and publications. GEOboom goes for the editor from the masthead, then the article's author, then the content lead from LinkedIn, falling back to a contact database of over a billion verified emails, with hello@ last; it claims a verified contact at over 90% of sites. GEOboom, by design; FATJOE removes the step.
- Whose mailboxes send. FATJOE's. GEOboom includes three warmed mailboxes on separate domains with ongoing warm-up, inbox-placement tests and bounce tracking; your company domain never sends a cold email. Neither risks your domain. GEOboom's mailboxes are yours for anything else you negotiate.
- Follow-ups and prioritisation. FATJOE's are internal, with a 14-day delivery window. GEOboom runs follow-ups by default and orders outreach so the most-cited pages get the first emails; there is no delivery date because a publisher can decline. FATJOE for a date. GEOboom for the right order.
- What happens when someone replies. With FATJOE, nothing reaches you until the placement is live and the white-label report arrives. With GEOboom, each reply comes with the publisher's other sites graded good or risky (traffic, top-10 keywords, spam score), your pages and theirs in a picker, a drafted reply with blanks marked, and a blurb in the style of their list; the agreed thread becomes a deal record. GEOboom if you want to be in the conversation. FATJOE if you don't.

- Whether anyone checks the placement afterwards. FATJOE offers a lifetime placement guarantee: if a link or mention goes down, tell them and they replace it. Nobody checks for you, and a replacement is a different page. GEOboom checks the agreed text, your position in the list, the link, nofollow and the anchor, and sends an alert with a drafted note to the publisher when something moves; with Buy for you, placements carry 12-month protection with credits back if a removed placement can't be restored. GEOboom for watching the placement you have; FATJOE for a free replacement when you notice it's gone.

The pattern: FATJOE wins wherever you want a step to disappear behind a guarantee, GEOboom wins wherever you want to see or control it. For AI visibility specifically there is one more difference: FATJOE's Brand Mentions FAQ says a link is not the primary goal and may be missing or nofollow, and that content may be labelled sponsored where the site requires it. GEOboom's deals are whatever you negotiate, on a page that is already cited.

GEOboom (pricing)
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Subscription | $150/mo: 50 credits, 3 warmed mailboxes, unlimited projects and users, SEO data and monitoring |
| Publisher scheduled for outreach | 0.5 credits, up to 3 contacts plus follow-ups; filtered-out pages free |
| Extra credits | $1 each, roll over |
| Extra mailboxes | 40 credits/mo per 3 |
| Buy for you | 30% per publisher payment, min $40; $2,000/mo minimum budget; one contract, one invoice; 12-month placement protection |
The included 50 credits cover 100 publishers a month, which GEOboom puts at 10–20 replies and 2–8 placements. Publisher fees are separate: by default you pay the site directly at no fee. Buy for you is for teams whose accounting can't pay dozens of publishers one by one: fund one balance by bank transfer, negotiate as usual, and GEOboom pays the publisher and deducts the amount plus 30%, or $40, whichever is larger; if a placement is removed or changed within 12 months and can't be restored, the unused share of the year comes back as credits.

Cost per placement, worked example
Five placements a month on DR 40+ sites. For GEOboom, assume 150 publishers reached (75 credits) and a publisher fee of $120 — the median paid quote we see from DR 40–50 publishers in our own reply data.
| GEOboom, pay publishers directly | GEOboom with Buy for you | FATJOE Blogger Outreach DR 40+ | FATJOE Brand Mentions DR 30+ | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Software or service | $150 + 25 extra credits = $175 | $175 | $0 | $0 |
| Publisher fees | 5 × $120 = $600 | $600 + 5 × $40 = $800 | Included | Included |
| Placements | 5 × $216 = $1,080 | 5 × $336 = $1,680 | ||
| Monthly total | $775 | $975 | $1,080 ($972 with the 10% subscription) | $1,680 ($1,512 with subscription) |
| Per placement | $155 | $195 | $216 ($194) | $336 ($302) |
| What you get | A mention and link on an existing page AI already cites, negotiated by you, monitored for text and position | Same, with one invoice and 12-month protection | A new blog post on a DR 40+ site FATJOE reached for you, one dofollow link, lifetime guarantee | A new listicle or review mentioning your brand on a DR 30+ site; link not guaranteed |
At a $120 publisher fee the Buy for you charge is the $40 minimum rather than 30%, which is why five placements come to $800 and not $780.
At DR 40 GEOboom is the cheaper of the two paying publishers yourself — $155 a placement against FATJOE's $216, or $194 on its 10% subscription — and Buy for you at $195 sits between FATJOE's list price and its subscribed one, with one invoice instead of five publishers to pay. FATJOE's Brand Mentions, the product aimed at the same AI-visibility goal, costs $336 ($302 subscribed) and doesn't promise a link. Where FATJOE is clearly cheaper: the low tiers. A DR 10 or DR 20 link for $72–96, delivered, is not something outreach software competes with. Where GEOboom pulls further ahead: higher volume on your own list, because the $150 floor doesn't scale with placements and publisher fees are often zero for a mention swap.
Transparency. Both publish prices. FATJOE's are the simplest in this series: one number per tier. GEOboom's credit model takes one pass through the FAQ; the calculator on the pricing page does the arithmetic.
What users say
FATJOE shows 4.8/5 from 1,637 Shopper Approved reviews on its own site and holds 4.8/5 from 474 reviews on Trustpilot, with 79 in the last twelve months and the visible sample running through mid-October 2026. The recurring praise: fast turnaround, responsive support and live chat, a simple ordering dashboard, links reviewers describe as clean and not from PBNs, and steady results for resellers. The recurring complaints: price, especially at the higher DR tiers; occasional slow support; and newcomers wanting more onboarding. Many of the on-site reviews are one-liners left at checkout ("easy to checkout", "Simply easy"), so they speak to the ordering experience more than to the placements. Trustpilot notes the company hasn't recently invited customers to review.
What the reviews don't cover is the thing this comparison is about: whether the placements land on pages AI answers actually cite, and how long a Brand Mention stays in place. FATJOE's own FAQ is the better source there: specific publications aren't guaranteed, a link in a Brand Mention isn't guaranteed, and some placements may be labelled sponsored.
GEOboom has no aggregator reviews yet. GrowPad, the SEO and GEO agency GEOboom was built with, runs its own and its clients' outreach on it; its CEO is a GEOboom co-founder and the author of this page, so treat that as a disclosure rather than a testimonial.
Who should pick which
GEOboom is the better fit if:
- you need your brand on the specific pages ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and other answer engines already cite, not on a new post built to rank later;
- you want the prospect list, the conversations and the publisher relationships in your own hands;
- a dofollow link, the anchor and your position in the list are things you want to negotiate, not hope for;
- you run several clients and want one subscription with unlimited projects and users;
- you want to know when a placement's text or position changes, with a drafted note ready to send.
FATJOE is the better fit if:
- you resell link building and need predictable volume, white-label reports and a lifetime guarantee;
- you want links at DR 10–30 for under $120 each, delivered, with no outreach on your side;
- you also need digital PR, press release distribution, local citations, content or multilingual outreach from one vendor;
- a new post on a relevant site at a guaranteed DR is as good as a mention on an existing one for your goal;
- you'd rather have a 14-day delivery date than a reply rate.
You may need something else if: you want a campaign builder with your own process (Pitchbox), a per-placement service that writes articles optimised for AI answers (Respona), or free mention swaps for a single site (MentionAgent).
Alternatives to both
If neither fits, these are the tools we would look at next. Full comparison in Best AI link-building and outreach software.
- Respona ($100–500 per placement): the closest thing to FATJOE's Brand Mentions, with content written to rank in AI answers, a 28-day turnaround, and bulk discounts up to 60%. See Respona vs GEOboom.
- Pitchbox ($300/mo, one-year contract): the deepest campaign builder for agencies that want to run outreach themselves, with digital PR. See Pitchbox vs GEOboom.
- MentionAgent ($99/mo per site): mutual mention swaps with an inbox included; no paid placements.
- BuzzStream ($49/mo, no contract): a PR-leaning outreach CRM for teams with their own lists and mailboxes. See BuzzStream vs GEOboom.
FAQ
What is the difference between GEOboom and FATJOE?
FATJOE is an outsourced link-building service: you order a link or a brand mention at a DR tier, FATJOE's team does the outreach, writes a post or listicle, places it and delivers a white-label report in about 14 days. GEOboom is outreach software: it pulls the pages your AI tracker says are cited, finds the editor, sends from its own warmed mailboxes, drafts your replies and monitors the mention; you close the deal and keep the relationship.
Can I choose the site with FATJOE?
You choose the service, the DR tier and, for Blogger Outreach, the anchor and URL. FATJOE's FAQ says it cannot guarantee specific publications. GEOboom works the other way round: the page comes first, from your tracker or your list.
Does a FATJOE Brand Mention include a link?
Not necessarily. FATJOE says it generally aims for a follow link but that a link is not the primary goal of the service; some mentions may have no link or a nofollow one, and some may be labelled sponsored where the site requires it. Blogger Outreach placements do include one dofollow anchor.
Which is cheaper?
At DR 40, five placements a month cost about $155 each on GEOboom paying publishers directly ($195 via Buy for you), $216 on FATJOE Blogger Outreach ($194 with the 10% subscription), and $336 on FATJOE Brand Mentions. That assumes a $120 publisher fee, the median paid quote we see from DR 40–50 publishers. At DR 10–30 FATJOE's $72–120 links are cheaper than any outreach. At higher volume on your own list, GEOboom's flat subscription pulls ahead.
Does GEOboom pay publishers for me?
By default no: you agree the price and pay the site, with no fee. With Buy for you, GEOboom pays the publisher from a balance you fund, charges 30% (minimum $40) on top, and covers the placement for 12 months. The minimum budget is $2,000 a month.
Is FATJOE safe for SEO?
FATJOE says it uses genuine outreach to real blogs, no PBNs, and that DR and traffic are measured in Ahrefs at the time of placement. Trustpilot reviewers echo that. The open question with any paid placement is footprint: a site that accepts paid posts regularly looks like one to Google, whichever vendor placed them. GEOboom's deals are on pages you chose because AI already cites them, and many are swaps or free mentions rather than paid posts.
Can I use both?
Yes, and agencies do: FATJOE for volume at low DR tiers and for PR, GEOboom for the specific cited pages a tracker surfaces. GEOboom's FAQ suggests moving one site's outreach across and comparing what each got you at the end of the month.
How this comparison was prepared
Who wrote it. Oleksii Andrusenko runs GrowPad, an SEO and GEO agency, and co-founded GEOboom after GrowPad's clients kept asking to get into ChatGPT. We build one of the two products compared here.
What we checked. FATJOE's services, tiers, guarantees and FAQs were read from fatjoe.com/services, fatjoe.com/blogger-outreach and fatjoe.com/brand-mentions on October 21, 2026, with prices in USD as FATJOE converts them from GBP. GEOboom pricing, Buy for you terms and features are from geoboom.io and our tools roundup on the same date. User feedback is a synthesis of FATJOE's 474 Trustpilot reviews and the Shopper Approved reviews shown on its site, as of October 21, 2026.
How we scored. On the seven steps that decide whether outreach produces a link: page source, filtering, which contact is found, whose mailboxes send, follow-ups, what arrives with a reply, and what is monitored afterwards. For a done-for-you service several of those steps are invisible by design; we say so rather than score them against it.
What's not here. We did not place a paid order with FATJOE for this page; service details come from its site. The cost-per-placement example rests on two assumptions, both stated with it: five placements a month, and a $120 publisher fee — the median paid quote from the DR 40–50 publishers who have replied to our own outreach with a price, 10 of them as of October 2026.
