Respona vs GEOboom: Outreach Software or Pay-per-Placement Service?

Respona sells you the link and keeps the outreach out of sight; GEOboom gives you the pages AI already cites and leaves the deal in your hands. Seven steps, both price models, and what five placements a month actually cost on each.

Buy the links, or own the outreach?

GEOboom and Respona both promise the same outcome, brand mentions on pages that rank in Google and get cited by AI, and get there by opposite routes. Respona is a service: you place an order with your URLs, anchors and a publisher tier, Respona's team finds a site, writes an article, publishes it and bills you $100 to $500 when the link is live. GEOboom is software: it pulls the pages your AI-visibility tracker says are already cited, finds the editor, writes and sends the outreach from mailboxes it provides, hands you each reply with a drafted answer, and watches the mention afterwards. You close the deal, and you pay the publisher directly or let GEOboom pay them through Buy for you.

The short answer: if you want links delivered and don't care which pages they sit on, Respona. If you want your brand on the specific pages AI answers already quote, with the publisher relationship and the prospect list in your hands, GEOboom. The sections below show where that difference shows up: who picks the page, who writes the content, what you see, and what a placement costs.

Disclosure: this comparison is written by GEOboom's team. We say so wherever it affects a judgement, and we list where Respona is the better choice.

VerdictSoftware for teams that want to own AI-citation outreach.A service for teams that want to buy the result.

With a service, most of these steps happen out of sight. That is the point of a service, and also the reason to check what happens at each one.

  1. Where the pages come from. Respona scrapes your landing pages for their core keywords, finds publishers ranking for those terms, and picks the term with the lowest competition and highest CPC. The page you end up on is a new article on one of those sites, written to rank for that term. GEOboom starts from the other end: the pages your AI-visibility tracker says are already being cited for your prompts, plus keywords or a list you upload, and keeps adding newly cited pages as they appear. For getting onto pages AI already quotes: GEOboom. For getting a new ranking page built around your keyword: Respona.

  1. Whether the list is filtered before you see it. Respona filters for you, against DR and traffic bands per tier, and you can pre-approve every domain or set ccTLD rules for an extra fee. GEOboom reads each page against your brand and topic, sets aside off-topic pages, competitors' own sites, pages that already mention you and link farms, and shows you the rest ordered by how often they are cited. Both filter; only GEOboom shows you the list.
Respona add-ons: turnaround 28 or 14 days, domain pre-approval, content format guidelines
Respona add-ons: turnaround 28 or 14 days, domain pre-approval, content format guidelines
  1. Which contact it finds. Not applicable to Respona: its team handles publisher relationships and you never see who they wrote to. GEOboom goes for the editor from the masthead, then the article's author, then the content lead from LinkedIn, falling back to a contact database of over a billion verified emails, with hello@ last; it claims a verified contact at over 90% of sites. GEOboom, by default; Respona removes the step.
  2. Whose mailboxes send. Respona's. GEOboom includes three warmed mailboxes on separate domains, with ongoing warm-up, inbox-placement tests and bounce tracking; your company domain never sends a cold email. Neither puts your domain at risk. GEOboom's mailboxes are yours to use for anything you negotiate.
  3. Follow-ups and prioritisation. Respona runs them internally and commits to a 28-day turnaround (14 with express). GEOboom runs follow-ups by default and orders outreach so the most-cited pages get the first emails; replies start coming the next day and placements are secured within a week. Respona for a guaranteed date. GEOboom for faster first results.
  4. What happens when someone replies. With Respona, nothing reaches you until the placement is live. With GEOboom, each reply arrives with the publisher's other sites graded good or risky (traffic, top-10 keywords, spam score), your pages and theirs in a picker, a drafted reply with blanks marked, and a blurb in the style of their list; the agreed thread becomes a deal record. GEOboom, if you want to be in the conversation to negotiate the price or other details. Respona, if you don't want to lift a finger.
GEOboom reply screen: editor's offer with sites graded good or risky, page picked, drafted reply with two blanks
GEOboom reply screen: editor's offer with sites graded good or risky, page picked, drafted reply with two blanks
  1. Whether anyone checks the placement afterwards. Respona sells placements as permanent dofollow links and bundles an AI-visibility tracker across six engines, so you see if answers start citing the page. GEOboom checks the agreed text, your position in the list, the link, nofollow and the anchor, and sends an alert with a drafted note to the publisher when something moves; with Buy for you, placements carry 12-month protection with credits back if a removed placement can't be restored. GEOboom for the placement itself; Respona for the AI-visibility readout.
GEOboom deal record: agreed #5 with 60-word blurb, checked, moved to #6, alert sent, note to editor drafted
GEOboom deal record: agreed #5 with 60-word blurb, checked, moved to #6, alert sent, note to editor drafted

The pattern: Respona wins wherever you want the step to disappear, GEOboom wins wherever you want to see or control it. That is the real choice, and price comes second.

Pricing compared

One is priced per month, the other per link, so the only fair comparison is cost per placement at a given volume.

A monthly budget lowers the price: 10% off at $3,000 a month ($90–450), 20% at $5,000 ($80–400), rising to 60% at the top of the $80,000 slider. Domain pre-approval and 14-day express delivery are paid add-ons. Content, outreach and publishing are included. No contract on pay-as-you-go.

The included 50 credits cover 100 publishers a month, which GEOboom puts at 10–20 replies and 2–8 placements. Publisher fees are separate: by default you pay the site yourself at no fee. Buy for you is for teams whose accounting can't pay dozens of publishers one by one: you fund one balance by bank transfer, negotiate as usual, and when a deal closes GEOboom asks the publisher to invoice it, pays, and deducts the amount plus 30%. If a placement is removed or changed within 12 months, GEOboom works to restore it; if it can't, the unused share of the year comes back as credits.

Cost per placement, worked example

Take five placements a month on DR 40+ sites, which is $240 a placement on Respona's list. Assume GEOboom gets them from 150 publishers reached (75 credits), and that each publisher asks $120 — the median paid quote we see from DR 40–50 publishers in our own reply data.

GEOboom, pay publishers directlyGEOboom with Buy for youRespona, pay-as-you-goRespona at $3,000/mo
Software or service$150 + 25 extra credits = $175$175$0$0
Publisher fees5 × $120 = $600$600 + 5 × $40 = $800IncludedIncluded
Placements5 × $240 = $1,200$1,080 (10% off)
Monthly total$775$975$1,200$1,080
Per placement$155$195$240$216

On Buy for you the fee is 30% or $40, whichever is larger, and at a $120 publisher price the $40 minimum is what applies — $160 a placement all-in, not $156.

Two caveats on the right-hand columns. Respona's 10% discount needs $3,000 of spend a month, and Buy for you needs a $2,000 monthly budget; five placements at these prices reaches neither, so both are shown at their list terms for a volume that would have to grow to earn them.

At this volume GEOboom is the cheaper of the two however you cut it: $155 a placement paying publishers yourself against Respona's $240, or $195 through Buy for you against Respona's best discounted $216. The gap is not the point, though, and it closes from both ends — push the volume up and Respona's bulk discount compounds until it undercuts us; push it down and GEOboom's $150 floor is cheaper than a single Power placement. What the money buys is the real difference: with GEOboom the five placements are on pages you chose because AI already cites them, the prospect list and the publisher relationships are yours, and the next month's outreach is already running; with Respona the five placements are new articles on sites Respona picked, delivered by a date, with no work on your side, and the price includes the writing.

Transparency. Both publish prices. Respona's are the simpler read. GEOboom's credit model takes one pass through the FAQ; the pricing calculator on the site does the arithmetic.

What users say

Respona holds 4.8/5 from 202 reviews on G2, and its site cites the same figure. One caveat matters: the reviews describe the outreach software Respona used to sell (campaigns, sequences, email finder, credits, shared inbox), not the pay-per-placement service it sells now. Most are from 2024 and 2025; only a handful are from 2026. The recurring praise was ease of use, automation, the built-in contact finder and responsive support. The recurring complaints were credits burning fast, price for small teams, a learning curve in campaign setup, and some outdated contact data. None of that tells you how the placement service performs; for that, the useful signals are the guarantee (every ordered placement goes live within the agreed timeframe) and the 28-day turnaround on the pricing page.

GEOboom has no aggregator reviews yet. GrowPad, the SEO and GEO agency GEOboom was built with, runs its own and its clients' outreach on it; its CEO is a GEOboom co-founder and the author of this page, so treat that as a disclosure rather than a testimonial.

Who should pick which

GEOboom is the better fit if:

  • you need your brand on the specific pages ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and other answer engines already cite, not on a new page built to rank later;
  • you want the prospect list, the conversations and the publisher relationships in your own hands;
  • you run several clients and want one subscription with unlimited projects and users;
  • you want to know when a placement's text, position or link changes, and a drafted note to send when it does;
  • your accounting prefers one supplier: Buy for you gives you one contract and one invoice while you still choose the pages.

Respona is the better fit if:

  • you want links delivered by a date and have no one to run outreach;
  • a new article on a relevant site is as good as a mention on an existing one for your goal;
  • you are buying at volume and the bulk discount (up to 60%) matters;
  • you resell link building and want a white-label service behind it;
  • you need publishers outside English-language markets.

You may need something else if: you want a campaign builder with digital PR and your own process (Pitchbox), a cheap outreach CRM for lists you already have (BuzzStream), or free mention swaps for a single site (MentionAgent).

Alternatives to both

If neither fits, these are the tools we would look at next. Full comparison in Best AI link-building and outreach software.

  • Pitchbox ($300/mo, one-year contract): the deepest campaign builder in the category, with digital PR and an AI reply agent; you bring prospects and mailboxes. See Pitchbox vs GEOboom.
  • MentionAgent ($99/mo per site): mutual mention swaps with an inbox included; no paid placements.
  • BuzzStream ($49/mo, no contract): a PR-leaning outreach CRM with link monitoring on every plan.
  • Snov.io ($39/mo): finder, verifier, warm-up and sequences in one place, built for sales rather than SEO.

FAQ

What is the difference between GEOboom and Respona?

Respona is a done-for-you placement service: you order, its team writes an article and places it on a site it chose, and you pay $100–500 when the link is live. GEOboom is outreach software: it pulls the pages your AI-visibility tracker says are cited, finds the editor, sends from its own warmed mailboxes, drafts your replies and monitors the mention; you close the deal and keep the relationship.

Is Respona still outreach software?

No. Respona's site now sells placements only, with a 28-day turnaround and a per-placement price. The G2 reviews that give it 4.8/5 describe the old software, not the current service.

Which is cheaper?

At five DR 40+ placements a month, GEOboom lands around $155 per placement paying publishers directly, or $195 through Buy for you; Respona charges $240 pay-as-you-go or $216 on a $3,000 monthly commitment. That assumes a $120 publisher fee, the median paid quote we see from DR 40–50 publishers. Below that volume GEOboom's $150 subscription is the cheaper floor; above it Respona's bulk discounts compound until they undercut it.

Does GEOboom pay publishers for me?

By default no: you agree the price and pay the site, with no fee. With Buy for you, GEOboom pays the publisher from a balance you fund, charges 30% (minimum $40) on top, and covers the placement for 12 months. The minimum budget is $2,000 a month.

Can I choose the page with Respona?

You choose the publisher tier (DR and traffic band), anchors, URLs and content format, and for an extra fee you can pre-approve domains. You don't pick a specific existing page; Respona writes a new article on a site it finds. GEOboom works the other way round: the page comes first.

Is it safe for my domain?

Both keep your main domain out of cold email. Respona sends from its own infrastructure; GEOboom provides warmed mailboxes on separate domains.

Can I use both?

Yes. Some teams will use Respona for guaranteed volume on a deadline and GEOboom for the specific cited pages a tracker surfaces. GEOboom's own FAQ suggests moving one site's outreach across and comparing what each got you at the end of the month.

How this comparison was prepared

Who wrote it. Oleksii Andrusenko runs GrowPad, an SEO and GEO agency, and co-founded GEOboom after GrowPad's clients kept asking to get into ChatGPT. We build one of the two products compared here.

What we checked. Respona's tiers, bulk discounts, add-ons, turnaround, guarantee and placement formats were read from respona.com and respona.com/pricing on October 21, 2026, including the pricing-page FAQ. GEOboom pricing, Buy for you terms and features are from geoboom.io and our tools roundup on the same date. User feedback is a synthesis of the 202 Respona reviews on G2 as of October 21, 2026, with the caveat that they describe Respona's former software.

How we scored. On the seven steps that decide whether outreach produces a link: page source, filtering, which contact is found, whose mailboxes send, follow-ups, what arrives with a reply, and what is monitored afterwards. For a service, several of those steps are invisible by design; we say so rather than score them against it.

What's not here. We did not place a paid order with Respona for this page; service details come from its site. The cost-per-placement example rests on two assumptions, both stated with it: five placements a month, and a $120 publisher fee — the median paid quote from the DR 40–50 publishers who have replied to our own outreach with a price, 10 of them as of October 2026. Half asked less, half more, and the spread runs from $50 to $3,000.
