GEOboom and Pitchbox both run link building and mention outreach, and both now ship AI for writing and replies. They are built for different teams. Pitchbox is a campaign builder: you bring prospects, templates and mailboxes, and it gives you the deepest workflow in the category, including digital PR, for $300 a month on a one-year contract. GEOboom is software for one job: getting your brand onto the pages AI answers cite, with prospects pulled from your AI-visibility tracker, editorial contacts found, mailboxes warmed, the publishers paid on one invoice if you want that, and the mention watched afterwards, for $150 a month with no contract.
The short answer: if your outreach is aimed at AI citations and you don't want to build the infrastructure — or your accounting won't approve thirty small invoices from publishers nobody there has heard of — choose GEOboom. If you run digital PR alongside link building, have a large team with its own SOP, and want to control every step of the campaign — choose Pitchbox. The rest of this page is the evidence, step by step, with prices checked on October 20, 2026.
Disclosure: this comparison is written by GEOboom's team. We say so wherever it affects a judgement, and we list the places where Pitchbox is the better choice.
GEOboom vs Pitchbox at a glance
| GEOboom | Pitchbox | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Outreach software for brand mentions on the pages AI answers cite | Campaign builder and CRM for link building and digital PR |
| Best for | Agencies and in-house SEO teams chasing AI citations across many clients | Large agencies with their own SOP, roles and client reporting |
| Not ideal for | Digital PR, done-for-you buyers, non-English markets | Small teams, anyone unwilling to sign for a year, anyone whose accounting won't pay publishers one by one |
| Starting price | $150/mo, 50 credits, 3 mailboxes, unlimited projects and users | $300/mo ($210 billed annually), 2 users, 2 email accounts, 1 workspace |
| Contract | Monthly | One year, regardless of billing frequency |
| Mailboxes | Included, warmed before your account opens | Connect your own, warm them yourself |
| Prospects | From your AI-visibility tracker, keywords or list; filtered page by page | Search operators and CSV; SEO-metric filters |
| Contacts | Editor, author, content lead; hello@ last; from the sites, LinkedIn and a 1B+ email database; 90%+ of sites | Email finder and verifier; role tuning from Advanced |
| Paying publishers | You, or Buy for you pays them from your balance: one supplier for accounting | You, every publisher a supplier of its own |
| Monitoring | Text, position in the list, link, anchor, nofollow; alert + drafted note | Link health, anchor, nofollow, drops; index check from Advanced; no list position or text |
| Key strength | Covers all eight steps of citation outreach, the publishers' invoices included | Depth: automations, approvals, white-label reports, API, digital PR |
| Main limitation | No digital PR: no journalist lists, press releases or newsroom pitching | You build and warm the infrastructure, you pay every publisher yourself, and you sign for a year |
| Verdict | Pick it for AI-citation outreach without the setup. | Pick it for process control and PR at agency scale. |
Where they differ: the eight steps that produce a link
Both tools send email and track replies. The gap is in what happens before the first email, when the publisher sends an invoice, and after the last one.
- Where the prospects come from. Pitchbox finds prospects with search operators (SERP finder, keyword suggestions) and imports CSVs, then filters by Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz or Majestic metrics. GEOboom connects to your AI-visibility tracker or takes the prompts you track, pulls the pages those answers cite, and keeps adding new ones as they appear; you can upload a list too. For Google-only campaigns you start from keywords. Winner for AI citations: GEOboom. Winner for broad SERP prospecting and PR lists: Pitchbox.

- Whether the list is filtered before you see it. Pitchbox hands you what the search returned, with metric thresholds and a blocklist. GEOboom reads each page against your brand and topic and sets aside off-topic pages, competitors' own sites, pages that already mention you and link farms, then orders the rest by how often they are cited. Winner: GEOboom.
- Which contact it finds. Pitchbox's email finder and verifier returns addresses on the site; Advanced Contact Finder Tuning on the $600 plan lets you steer toward roles. GEOboom goes for the editor from the masthead, then the article's author from the byline, then the content lead from LinkedIn, falling back to a contact database of over a billion verified emails, with hello@ only if nobody answers; it claims a verified contact at over 90% of sites. Winner: GEOboom.
- Whose mailboxes you send from. Pitchbox connects your Gmail, Microsoft 365 or SMTP accounts: you buy the domains, set SPF/DKIM/DMARC and warm them. Deliverability monitoring, email rotation and domain reputation checks start on Advanced. GEOboom includes three warmed mailboxes on separate domains, keeps warming them while they send, runs inbox-placement tests and tracks bounces; your company domain never sends a cold email. Winner: GEOboom. Pitchbox wins if you need multi-region sending or hybrid oAuth/SMTP (Scale plan).
- Follow-ups and prioritisation. Both run sequences with automatic follow-ups. Pitchbox gives you more control: conditional templates, holiday scheduling, multi-drip, recurring campaigns from Advanced, an automation builder with When/Then rules. GEOboom runs follow-ups by default and orders outreach so the most-cited pages get the first emails. Winner for control: Pitchbox. Winner for zero-config: GEOboom.
- What happens when someone replies. Pitchbox's AI Reply Agent reads each inbound email, decides how to respond and drives the opportunity toward the goal you set, with a unified inbox, Chasebox reminders and out-of-office detection. The AI Playbook controls when it sends; it can run fully autonomously or keep a human approving each draft, and it makes counteroffers within price ceilings you set. GEOboom hands you each reply with the publisher's other sites graded good or risky (traffic, top-10 keywords, spam score), your pages and theirs in a picker, a drafted reply with blanks marked, and a blurb in the style of their list; the agreed thread becomes a deal record. Winner for hands-off reply handling: Pitchbox. Winner for the person closing the deal: GEOboom.

- Who pays the publisher. Most placements worth having are paid, and in a large company the money is where outreach stops. A $250 invoice from a blog in another country, thirty times over, each site a new supplier for legal and accounting to approve, is work those departments will not take on; the team either gives up on paid placements or hands the whole job to a done-for-you vendor. Pitchbox does not touch this: the deal and the payment are between you and the site, exactly as they were before you bought the software. GEOboom's Buy for you does. You negotiate the deal yourself, click Buy for you, and GEOboom asks the publisher to invoice it, pays, and deducts the fee plus 30% (minimum $40) from a balance you funded with one bank transfer, with 12-month placement protection. Winner: GEOboom; Pitchbox has no equivalent.

- Whether anyone checks the placement afterwards. Pitchbox's bi-lateral link monitoring tracks link health (301s, 404s, DNS errors), anchor text changes, follow/nofollow status and link drops, on 1,000 links on Pro, 5,000 on Advanced, 10,000 on Scale, with Google index checks from Advanced. GEOboom checks the same things plus what Pitchbox doesn't see: your position in the list and the text of the mention itself. When something moves it sends an alert with a drafted note to the publisher asking to put it back. About one link in six disappears within a year, and a listicle position slipping from #5 to #6 is the kind of change only GEOboom reports. Winner: GEOboom, narrowly; Pitchbox covers link health well and scales to more links.

Score on the eight steps: GEOboom 5, Pitchbox 1, two split decisions (follow-ups, replies). That is the case for GEOboom on AI-citation work. The case for Pitchbox is everything the eight steps don't measure: digital PR, custom campaign logic, roles and approvals, white-label reporting, an API, and twelve years of agency customers.

Pricing compared
The models are different, so the plan tables don't line up; the campaign-cost estimate below does.
GEOboom (pricing)
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Subscription | $150/mo: 50 credits, 3 warmed mailboxes, unlimited projects and users, SEO data and monitoring |
| Publisher scheduled for outreach | 0.5 credits, up to 3 contacts plus follow-ups; filtered-out pages free |
| Extra credits | $1 each, roll over |
| Extra mailboxes | 40 credits/mo per 3 |
| Buy for you | 30% per publisher payment, min $40; $2,000/mo minimum budget; 12-month placement protection |
Monthly, no contract. The included credits cover 100 publishers a month, which GEOboom translates into 10–20 replies and 2–8 placements.
Pitchbox (pricing page)
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $300/mo | $210/mo | 2 users, 2 email accounts, 2,000 outreach emails, 1 workspace, 25 campaigns, 1,000 prospecting searches, 600K data credits/yr |
| Advanced | $600/mo | $420/mo | Unlimited users, 6 accounts, 5,000 emails, 25 workspaces, 1,000 campaigns, 5,000 searches, unlimited data credits |
| Scale | $1,200/mo | $825/mo | Unlimited users, 20 accounts, 25,000 emails, unlimited workspaces, campaigns and searches |
| Enterprise | Custom | SSO, SLA, security review, dedicated support |
Every plan requires a one-year commitment regardless of billing frequency. Annual billing saves 30%. Expert-led implementation is included with annual prepay ($2,000–4,000 otherwise). Trials are arranged through a demo call.

What a typical campaign costs on each
Take an agency with three clients, 300 publishers a month in total, three mailboxes.
| GEOboom | Pitchbox Advanced | |
|---|---|---|
| Software | $150 subscription + 100 extra credits ($100) = $250/mo | $420/mo annual, or $600/mo monthly, 12-month commitment |
| Mailboxes and domains | Included | 6 accounts included; domains, Google Workspace or Microsoft seats and warm-up tool are yours: typically $60–120/mo |
| Contact finding | Included | Data credits unlimited on Advanced |
| Monitoring | Included | Included, link-level |
| First-year total | ~$3,000 | ~$5,800–8,600 plus setup time |
Pitchbox Pro at $300/mo looks closer, but its 2 email accounts, 1 workspace and 25 campaigns a month don't fit three clients. GEOboom's own comparison puts it at about half the cost of Pitchbox for a typical SEO or GEO campaign; on this example it is less than half once mailboxes are counted. Publisher fees are extra on both.
Transparency. Both publish prices. Pitchbox's are clear but the one-year term is in the FAQ, not on the plan cards. GEOboom's credit model needs one read of the FAQ to work out what a publisher costs; the pricing calculator on the site does the arithmetic.
What users say
Pitchbox holds 4.7/5 from 99 reviews on G2 (85 five-star, none below three). The recurring praise: campaign setup is simple, follow-ups and templates let small teams run many campaigns, reporting is customisable, account managers respond fast, and the Ahrefs/Semrush/Moz integrations save time. The recurring complaints: price is the most common one; several reviewers say the platform takes time to learn; a few report blocked emails and found SPF/DKIM/DMARC setup complex, with the extra cost of Google Workspace accounts on top; one found contact suggestions spammy; one noted that out-of-office replies count as responses and inflate reply rates; one said task assignment gets cumbersome for large teams. G2 flags that some reviews were invited by the vendor.
Those complaints map onto the eight steps: mailbox setup and deliverability (step 4), contact quality (step 3), and cost.
GEOboom is in closed beta and has no aggregator reviews yet. GrowPad, the SEO and GEO agency GEOboom was built with, runs its own and its clients' outreach on it; its CEO is now a GEOboom co-founder and the author of this page, so treat that as a disclosure rather than a testimonial.
Who should pick which
GEOboom is the better fit if:
- your goal is brand mentions on the pages ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and other answer engines cite, and you track those pages already;
- you don't want to buy domains, set DNS and warm mailboxes before the first email;
- you run several clients and want one subscription with unlimited projects and users;
- your accounting or legal department won't set up thirty publishers as suppliers, and you want the placements on one invoice without handing the campaign to an agency;
- you need to know when a placement's text or position in the list changes, not only the link and anchor;
- you prefer monthly billing over a one-year contract.
Pitchbox is the better fit if:
- digital PR, journalist outreach or link reclamation are part of the work;
- you have a large team with roles, approval steps and white-label client reports to maintain, and a finance process that already handles publisher payments;
- you want to design campaign logic yourself: conditional templates, When/Then automations, recurring campaigns;
- you need an API, Looker Studio reporting or multi-region sending;
- you work in non-English markets.
You may need something else if: you want placements delivered without touching outreach (Respona), you only want free mention swaps for a single site (MentionAgent), or you just need an email finder (Hunter, Snov.io).
Alternatives to both
If neither fits, these are the tools we would look at next. Full comparison in Best AI link-building and outreach software.
- MentionAgent ($99/mo per site): the same all-in-one model as GEOboom, scoped to one site and mutual mention swaps, inbox included. Prospects come from its own search, not an AI tracker.
- BuzzStream ($49/mo, no contract): a PR-leaning outreach CRM with link monitoring on every plan, for teams that already have lists, templates and mailboxes.
- Respona ($100–500 per placement): no longer software; a done-for-you service that bills when the link is live. Its real draw for a large company is the single invoice; Buy for you gives you that without giving up the prospect list or the conversation with the publisher.
- Snov.io ($39/mo): the cheapest finder, verifier, warm-up and sequences in one place, built for sales rather than SEO.
FAQ
What is the difference between GEOboom and Pitchbox?
Pitchbox is a campaign builder: you supply prospects, templates and mailboxes, and it runs sequences, a CRM and reporting, including digital PR. GEOboom is software for AI-citation outreach: it pulls the pages your AI tracker says are cited, filters them, finds the editor, sends from warmed mailboxes it provides, drafts your replies and watches the mention afterwards. Pitchbox gives you more control; GEOboom gives you fewer steps.
Is GEOboom cheaper than Pitchbox?
For a typical SEO or GEO campaign, yes. GEOboom starts at $150/mo with mailboxes included and no contract; Pitchbox starts at $300/mo ($210 annual) on a one-year commitment, with mailboxes, domains and warm-up on top. On the three-client, 300-publisher example above, GEOboom comes in under half of Pitchbox Advanced over a year.
Who pays the publishers, GEOboom or Pitchbox?
Pitchbox never touches the money: every deal is settled between you and the site. GEOboom leaves it to you by default, or pays the publishers from your balance through Buy for you for 30% of the fee (minimum $40, on a $2,000/mo minimum budget), with 12-month placement protection. It matters most in large companies, where thirty small payments to unfamiliar suppliers is exactly what legal and accounting refuse. The usual way out is a done-for-you vendor like Respona, which turns the placements into one invoice by taking over the campaign too; Buy for you turns them into one invoice while the negotiation and the publisher relationship stay yours.
Can Pitchbox do AI-visibility outreach?
Its Scale plan is sold for “link building and AEO outreach” and its sequences and reply agent work for any list. What it doesn't do is import the cited pages from an AI-visibility tracker or filter them page by page; you build that list yourself.
Does GEOboom replace Pitchbox for digital PR?
No. GEOboom has no journalist lists, press releases or newsroom pitching, and says so on its site. Teams that need PR and link building in one tool should look at Pitchbox or BuzzStream.
Is it safe to send outreach from my main domain with either tool?
With GEOboom the question doesn't arise: it sends from mailboxes on separate domains it provides. With Pitchbox you connect your own accounts, so use dedicated sending domains and warm them first; several G2 reviewers mention blocked emails and DNS setup as pain points.
Can I use both?
Yes, and some agencies will: Pitchbox for PR and broad link campaigns, GEOboom for the AI-citation list. GEOboom's FAQ suggests moving one site's outreach across and comparing results at the end of the month.
How this comparison was prepared
Who wrote it. Oleksii Andrusenko runs GrowPad, an SEO and GEO agency, and co-founded GEOboom after GrowPad's clients kept asking to get into ChatGPT. We build one of the two tools compared here.
What we checked. Pitchbox plans, limits and features were read from pitchbox.com/pricing on October 20, 2026, including the full plan comparison table and the billing FAQ. GEOboom pricing and features are from geoboom.io on the same date. User feedback is a synthesis of the 99 Pitchbox reviews on G2 as of October 21, 2026.
How we scored. On the eight steps that decide whether outreach produces a link: prospect source, filtering, which contact is found, whose mailboxes send, follow-ups, what arrives with a reply, who pays the publisher, and what is monitored afterwards. Depth of campaign tooling, digital PR and integrations are listed but not scored, because they matter to a different buyer.
What's not here. We did not run paid campaigns on Pitchbox for this page; hands-on notes come from its demo, help centre and public walkthroughs. Reply and placement rates quoted for either tool are the vendor's own figures.
